NFEI installed a 45 foot wide Dragrake at Carolina Power and Light's Marshall hydroelectric plant in western North Carolina. This site has two 2500 KW units with a single trashrack intake. The site had a twin boom ©Atlas Polar ™ trash rake but due to the heavy volume of trash and extreme silt loads this rake could not keep up - requiring extensive labor overtime and periodic dredging.

Since our installation of the Dragrake CP&L has found the intake and forebay clear of all debris and silt to the bottom and the Dragrake's fully automatic operation has greatly eliminated overtime!
