NEW SWITCHGEAR, REWIRE, PLC CONTROLS, PROTECTION, HPU GATE CONTROLS, STATIC EXCITATION, AND FOUR DRAGRAKES
Columbia Canal was built in 1896 and was the first AC generating plant in the world to generate and transmit power to a textile mill. It is the second oldest continuously operating AC hydro plant in the world. NFEI contracted to design, fabricate and install all new equipment as shown below.
